Harry Potter and the Cursed Child to Bring Broadway Magic to Denver in 2026
Halloween and Harry Potter lovers rejoice as tickets go on sale during the spookiest time of the year.
The magic of Hogwarts is set to arrive in the Mile High City, less than a year from now. Denver Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA) have announced that tickets for the first-ever touring production of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” will go on sale Halloween morning, Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. (MT).
The six-time Tony Award-winning play will enchant audiences at the Buell Theatre from May 30 through June 21, 2026. With a limited number of premium and lottery seats available, ticket sales are expected to soar.
A Heartwarming History
Based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany, the play continues the story of Harry Potter. The famed wizard is now an overworked employee at the Ministry of Magic and father of three. He struggles to contend with his youngest son, Albus, who is grappling with the weight of his family legacy. The play, written by Thorne and directed by Tiffany, is known for its breathtaking stage illusions, emotionally rich storytelling and award-winning production design.

For those unfamiliar with the boy who started it all, Potter is the orphaned child of two wizards. On his eleventh birthday, he discovers that he possesses magical powers. Over the course of seven novels and eight blockbuster films, he and his friends Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley confront dark forces led by the villainous Lord Voldemort.
The franchise built around Potter’s plot has earned over $9 billion worldwide.
The series has become a global phenomenon, beloved for its themes of friendship, courage and the triumph of good over evil. More than 25 years after its debut, Potter remains a symbol of imagination. His resilience is appealing to readers and audiences of all ages, and his story is rooted in the belief that love and loyalty can change the world.
The touring version of “The Cursed Child” features movement by Steven Hoggett. Set design is by Christine Jones, costumes are by Katrina Lindsay, music and arrangements are by Imogen Heap and lighting is by Neil Austin. It is produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Colin Callender and Harry Potter Theatrical Productions.
A Highly-Anticipated Event
DCPA officials caution theatergoers to purchase tickets only through its official website – the exclusive authorized ticket source – as tickets bought through third-party vendors may be counterfeit or void.
For more than two decades, the world of Harry Potter has captivated millions of fans across books, films, theme parks and now the stage. “The Cursed Child” brings that world to life in an entirely new way, blending innovative stagecraft with the timeless themes of friendship, courage and destiny that define the series.
