¡KUVOLE! LATIN MÚSICA Series Returns
KUVO JAZZ has announced the second season of its acclaimed live Latin Música Series, ¡KUVOLE!, a program that blends community, culture and music by spotlighting the diversity of Latin sounds across Metro Denver.
The series, which first debuted last year, has quickly become a platform for emerging Latin and Latin alternative musicians to showcase their work in unconventional spaces while connecting with audiences in fresh and authentic ways. The show creates a cultural dialogue through sound, story and space.
A Stage for Emerging Artists
At its core, ¡KUVOLE! focuses on uplifting local musicians navigating both traditional and experimental Latin genres. Organizers say the goal is to give up-and-coming artists a stage to grow their audiences while providing listeners with an immersive look into the histories and narratives behind the music.
From salsa and cumbia to Latin rock and experimental fusion, the series embraces the evolving landscape of Latin alternative sounds. Each event invites audiences to dance and enjoy the sounds while better understanding the cultural roots that inspire each performance.
Culture Meets Community
The program’s second season continues a partnership with Colorado businesses to host shows in distinctive venues that double as creative hubs. From art galleries and breweries to community centers and small theaters, organizers intentionally select spaces that foster experimentation and dialogue.
Each performance is designed as a cultural exchange, with the spaces themselves becoming part of the experience, shaping how the music is heard, felt and remembered.
The performances are also broadcast on KUVO 89.3 FM and streamed online at kuvo.org, extending the reach of the series to both statewide and global audiences. That dual approach gives local musicians exposure beyond the live venue and positions them on an international stage.

Powered by Community Support
The work is made possible through partnerships that value artists and communities equally. The second season of ¡KUVOLE! is made possible through funding from the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Quarterly Community Grant. The foundation’s support, KUVO officials say, underscores a shared commitment to strengthening Denver’s cultural life through innovative programming.
¡KUVOLE! reflects KUVO JAZZ’s wider mission of representing cultural diversity through music, news and community engagement. The Denver-based station, part of Rocky Mountain Public Media, has built a reputation for its blend of jazz, blues and Latin jazz programming, as well as its focus on live performances from touring artists, local talent and even student musicians.
Founded in 1985, KUVO is one of the few remaining public radio stations in the country dedicated to jazz and multicultural programming. Through partnerships with schools, cultural organizations and nonprofits, the station has become a community anchor for audiences seeking authentic representation of Colorado’s diverse cultural landscape.
Rocky Mountain Public Media, the statewide network that houses KUVO JAZZ, Rocky Mountain PBS and THE DROP 104.7, say ¡KUVOLE! fits its larger vision of offering education, trusted information and platforms for local artists.
Looking Ahead
Organizers say audiences can expect ¡KUVOLE!’s second season to expand on its original mission with new collaborations, a wider range of genres and storytelling elements woven into the live shows.
The 2025 lineup will include a rotating cast of performers drawn from Denver’s vibrant Latin music community. Each show is expected to highlight different musical traditions while exploring themes of identity, migration and innovation.
